Produced by Repeating the First  Strip of 5 Engravings to Complete the Pane.


SECOND PRINTING CHARACTERISTICS ON RECONSTRUCTED PANE OF 25

Type 1: No horizon on left side of volcano.
Type 2: White horizontal line on the left side touching the 4th star and extending
to the white inner oval.
Type 3: Simulated wave on water in six lines and leaning on the left.
Type 4: Nail mark on right side of stamp frame.
Type 5: Missing 12 pearls beside the right frame.

2c (Type 5) for single outbound printed matter rate. postmarked February 14.


1887 SAN SALVADOR to BERLIN, GERMANY *
